Looking for a place to spend New Year’s Eve? Here are some of the most incredible cities you can go to:
1) RIO DE JANEIRO
Rio offers you a fantastic show of fireworks and music at Copacabana Beach. But, if crowds aren’t that attractive to you, you can always go on a cruise and watch it from a ship, or swing over to the Vista Chinesa, one of Rio’s most famous tourist spots, which provides a fantastic panorama of the city.
2) SIDNEY
Besides celebrating the New Year before everyone else in Brazil, due to the time zone, this Australian City also offers a spectacular New Year’s Eve celebration at Sydney Harbor, with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge providing an incredible backdrop. Plus, it’s the start of summer there, so you’ll get to enjoy the beaches.
3) BANGKOK
Often considered Asia’s best nightlife city, Bangkok is a great place to welcome the New Year, if you’re into partying your way through the night. The Central World Plaza is one of the main places for celebrations, as well as the Asiatique area, along the Chao Phraya River. Needless to say, the city offers a beautiful show.
4) DUBAI
Luxurious and innovative, Dubai presents itself as an amazing place for people who are looking for new experiences. The Burj Khalifa is considered the world’s tallest building, and it attracts a great crowd with an amazing fireworks show on New Year’s Eve. However, if you’re looking for a quieter area, you can go to Burj Plaza, which is equally amazing, and very popular with families.
5) NEW YORK
Probably the most popular destination of all, New York is famous for the ball drop, which happens in Times Square, Manhattan. (This tradition started in 1907, and the ball has been dropped each year since then, except for two years during World War II.)
But if jamming into Times Square isn’t for you, the city offers alternatives, such as Coney Island, in Brooklyn, the Bronx, or Queens.
These are five of the greatest places you can go in the world; if now isn’t the time, keep them in mind when choosing your destination for this celebration in the future. Still, what matters the most is that you’re surrounded by people you love, and ready to open a new chapter.
We, from the BRASAS Team, are glad you’ve spent this year with us, and we’re excited to see what comes next. Happy New Year! See you in 2019 🙂
